Set in the peaceful countryside amid a patchwork of vineyards, sunflower fields and meadows of South West France, La Grande Metairie is a charming old Charentaise farmhouse, where the newly converted stables offer a nice spacious two bedroom, two bathroom self catering accommodation for guests seeking a relaxing and memorable holiday.

Just 5 metres from your door is a wonderful 10 x 5 metre swimming pool, and as the only guests you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity whilst soaking up some of the 2200 hours of sunshine we get every year. The pool has Roman steps which allow easy access, the depth varies from 1.15 - 1.75 metres and has an AFNOR approved alarm. Sun loungers and parasols are provided.

Although La Grande Metairie offers tranquillity with lovely views of the surrounding hills and woodland, we are with-in minutes of shops, restaurants and the market towns of Jonzac and Montendre. We are also ideally placed to explore local chateaux, beaches, cities and the world famous wine regions of Bordeaux.

You will be warmly welcomed by the owners who live at La Grande Metairie and are available to give you any advice and help on planning trips or booking restaurants etc.

Whatever you want from your holiday, be it relaxing by the pool with your favorite drink or exploring this beautiful part of France, the choices are yours and here they are endless.
